Our Team

 

Helle Eriksen

Helle Eriksen began riding in Denmark when she was just a kid. She came to California when she was only twenty and has been working in the horse world ever since then. She helps Kara at the shows and works as an instructor for the schooling program at the Baywood Equestrian Center.

 

Steven Pleasant

Steven Pleasant comes to the shows to help with our beginning and novice riders. His great attitude, encouragement and sense of humor always provides a happy show environment. Steven is currently the Edgewood Equestrians western trainer.

 

 

Heather Pollard-Krause

Heather Pollard-Krause, the dressage trainer at the Baywood Equestrian Center, helps our riders imrpove their flat work. Heather's training methodology works with the horses natural rhythm and movement to produce balance, suppleness and flexibility.

 

Rolando Cruz

Rolando has been working the California show circuit for many years. We are thrilled to have him work with us when we are at home as well as when we are at shows. He is an expert groom and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

 

 

Rachael Guajardo

Rachael is currently one of Kara's working student. She helps out around the barn, and rides some of the horses and ponies in our training program. She has been riding with Kara since the beginning of Kara's career, and has always enjoyed spending time around the horses.

 

 

Celia Maher   

Celia Maher has been riding for over 10 years and is now another one of Kara's working students. She has been showing with Kara for multiple years in all three rings, and now is a great help around the barn. She is currently gearing up to show her new horse Sandokan in the jumpers. 

 

Dr. Bruce Daniels

Dr. Daniels has been a large animal vet for the past 40 years and has been working with Kara's horses for at least 25. His years of experience gives him the knowledge and intuition to tackle any problem. Having been a jumper rider for many years, he not only understands the health and fitness needs of the horse but has the eye for a horse that will be competitive in the hunter/jumper world.

 

Andy Burke

Andy has been a farrier for more that 17 years. He specializes in all lameness issues from common abscess and stone bruise to chronic laminitis and navicular disease. Andy has been working with Kara's horses for 10 years.

   

 

 

Dr. Carrie Schlachter

Dr. Schlachter has been the chiropracter at KMC Farm for the past year. She has been a part of Arturas Veterinary clinic for several years. Dr. Schlachter keeps our horses happy, healthy, and ready for competition.

 

 

 

Kendra Stuber Cochran

Kendra is a MSA Certified Master Saddle Fitter and County Saddlery Agent. She is always available for all of our saddle fitting needs. Kendra is available at most Northern California shows.

 

 

 

Chris B. Hanson

Chris Hanson has been massaging horses throughout Northern California for over six years. She is trained and certified by Equinology, an Internationally recognized school based in California. Her Equine Body Worker education is ongoing. Chris is a member of the international Equine Body Workers Association.
